Assignment #5: Proposal Partial Draft 1:

Expand your proposal to include a revision of your previous Title, Introduction, and References Cited section (as appropriate), and new sections for Literature Review and Study Area. The Literature Review should place your proposed thesis research into context, and show you are aware of the current state of knowledge regarding your topic, including pertinent past work and similar studies. The Study Area section should describe the focus of your study location, providing the spatial context for your research objectives (as appropriate). We will assume your work is in APA format unless you explicitly state it is in Chicago style. While there are no page requirements, it is likely your work will result in 6-10 pages of text preceding the References Cited section.

Be sure to include Assignment #s 3&4 with our comments on them.

The assignment is worth 15% of your grade (15 points) broken down as follows:

3 formatting and grammar, logic & clarity of writing
12 breadth & content, subdivided as follows:
5 Introduction (problem, purpose, significance)
5 Literature Review
2 Study Area
