Geog 430 - Lab 1a

Finding data

In this lab, each of you will be responsible for providing details (everything short of giving out a credit card number) regarding getting satellite image data. Each of you will be assigned:

1) a location in the US, for which you will find

• current landsat data
• historical landsat data
• at least one other RS data type (ikonos, radarsat, IRS, airphotos, etc)

2) an overseas area (assigned individually) for which you will find

• landsat data (or whatever might be available)

Provide a writeup which includes both URLs and details regarding the ordering process. If data is not available, say so (and hope I can't find any within a few minutes). Be sure to spend AT LEAST 2 hours working on this.
