Exercise 5: Physical Geography in the news

For this assignment, you must find an article in a newspaper (from the week of 26 July, 2004) that deals with a physical geography topic.

In approximately 1 page, provide a detailed outline of the article.

On the second page, write 0.5-1 pages of text (single spaced, 12 point font, 1 inch margins) discussing 1) how the article ties into Geog 107 and 2) the implications of the topic to people in the immediate area, region, nation, or world (the scale will depend on your topic). This may require a little more research - don't forget to cite any sources you use.

Include with your writeup a copy of the article.

University-level grammar, punctuation, and spelling are expected.
